1. Who provides the service
Dr. Giulianna Davoli Benedetti, physician (no specialty), Professional Registration No. 35.192, practising in the Republic of Paraguay. Contact: giu.davolibenedetti@gmail.com. Invoices are issued in the name of Victor Javier Benitez, RUC (tax ID) 9186385-6. [Tax address].
2. Nature of remote care
Care is provided from Paraguay by video visit and portal messaging. It includes medical guidance, second opinions and follow-up. It has its own limits: a full physical examination is not possible and the doctor may recommend an in-person assessment when she considers it necessary. At the time of this version, Paraguay has no specific telemedicine law; the applicable framework is described in clause 3. If you live in another country, this care does not replace that of professionals licensed where you live when local rules require it.
3. Applicable telemedicine rules
Paraguay has no specific telemedicine law. Remote care is governed by Law No. 5482/2015, which created the National Telehealth Programme, and by its regulation, Resolution S.G. No. 361/2020 of the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare, which also covers independent professionals. In line with that framework:
- The doctor registers in the Telemedicine modality of the Ministry's Single Service Licensing Register [registration no. / in progress].
- Before your first visit you receive information on how the service works, its risks and limits, how privacy is handled and what to do if technology fails, and you give your informed consent, which is recorded.
- Every visit is recorded in your medical record; technical, organisational and legal incidents are kept in a separate log.
- Prescriptions are issued as standard or electronic prescriptions under the rules of the National Health Surveillance Directorate (DNVS); if you live in another country, their validity depends on local rules.
- Information is handled with confidentiality, integrity and availability under the data protection framework (Law No. 7593/2025, expected to take effect in late 2027).
- If you live outside Paraguay, the rules of your country of residence may also apply.
4. Emergencies
This service does not handle emergencies. If you have urgent symptoms, go to a hospital emergency department in your area right away. Do not wait for replies from the portal, messages or follow-up to seek care.
5. Appointments, fees and taxes
The fee is stated in the currency of the country of residence declared by the patient. Patients living in Paraguay: the price includes VAT (IVA). Patients living in other countries: applicable taxes are added to the fee and shown itemised (fee + taxes = total) before payment.
The time slot is held for the period shown when booking. Payment methods: bank transfer in Paraguay, international transfer, PayPal or Pix. The patient uploads the receipt in the portal and the appointment is confirmed once the doctor verifies the payment. Receipts issued by the platform are non-fiscal until electronic invoicing is enabled.
6. Cancellations by the patient
You may cancel or reschedule from the portal free of charge up to [24] hours before the appointment. Later cancellations or no-shows [are not refunded / are refunded at __ %].
7. Rescheduling after technical failures
- Failure attributable to the platform, the video provider or the doctor. If the video visit cannot start, or is interrupted and cannot resume, it is rescheduled free of charge within [7] days or, if the patient prefers, the amount paid is refunded.
- Failure of the patient's connection or device. The doctor waits up to [15] minutes from the appointment time and tries to reach you through the registered channels. One free rescheduling is offered; any further ones fall under clause 6.
- Late interruption. If the visit is interrupted after more than half of its duration and cannot resume, the doctor completes it by portal message or schedules a short follow-up free of charge.
- Technical incidents are logged on the platform. Video visits are not recorded.
8. Summaries, transcription and artificial intelligence
After each visit the doctor may publish a summary in the portal. AI-assisted transcription is optional, requires your permission for each visit and can be withdrawn at any time; without it the visit goes ahead as normal. All assisted content is reviewed by the doctor before it is shared.
9. Commercial communications
Buying the ebook or other editorial products is separate from medical care and does not create a medical record. Commercial communications require your separate permission and you can unsubscribe at any time.
10. Personal data
How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.
